Our Pastor 
 
Rev. Julius B. Hargett, Sr. is the Pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Passaic NJ where he has served since June, 2014.  He accepted our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, at the age of 13 and felt God's calling on his life to preach the gospel.  He surrendered to the call and in 2005, Pastor Hargett was licensed.  In 2008, he was ordained as a Minister and began pastoring 17 years ago.   In addition to his role as Pastor, he is the Treasurer of Shiloh Baptist Association. 

He and his wife, Mia, are the proud parents of two children - Julius, Jr. and Kysheiya and the proud grandparents of Aiden.  Pastor and Lady Hargett will celebrate their 11th PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY with Mt. Zion in June 2025.

Pastor Hargett "puts his trust in God's word completely."  He is a man of God devoted to the ministry and is preaching and teaching the Word of God to all people.
